SATELLITE HIGH PREVAILS In Central Florida Riders Cup Regional

RB_Central_Florida_News.jpgThe Red Bull Riders Cup hit Central Florida this week as Satellite High took the win becoming the Central Florida Red Bull Riders Cup regional champions. The eight regional finalists travel to California where they will compete at the Red Bull Riders Cup National Championships June 13-15 at San Onofre State Beach in San Clemente.

The third annual Red Bull Riders Cup, formally known as Red Bull High School Cup, will take the games Los Angeles from May 6-7.  Invited high schools are Carpenteria High, Ventura High, Malibu High School and Palisades High.

The National Surf League and Red Bull have partnered to help bring the sport of surfing to a new and exciting level. “The NSL and Red Bull are both companies that are passionate about innovation and bringing out the best performance in surfing. I am very excited to see how we will grow and create a more entertaining and easier way to watch the sport,” says NSL founder Brad Gerlach.

(West Coast start time 4:00pm/East Coast start time 3:30pm)

April 7-10     Santa Cruz Regional Champions - Soquel High School
April 15-17    South Florida Regional Champions-Jupiter High School
April 22-24    Central Florida Regional Champions- Satellite High
May 6-8        California-Golden State/Ventura- C-Street
May 13-15    New Jersey- Ocean City 3rd Street
May 20-22    California-Orange County & South Bay*- Huntington Beach Pier
May 27-29    California-San Diego-Seaside Reef
June 13-15   California-San Clemente-San Onofre, Trail 6

*South Bay regional games rescheduled, new dates are May 20-22 at Huntington Beach Pier
